Whether you’re here as a student, a client, or a fellow practitioner, something in you already knows: healing doesn’t come just from intellectual understanding.
In my own life, mindful presence and embodied healing have been the keys to becoming more whole. It’s also the foundation of everything I teach and practice.
I’ve experienced their power from the inside out. This work is not just professional—it’s devotional.
My facilitation is grounded in years of personal and professional healing practice; my style is relaxed, loving, and spacious.
I believe in having our time together be mostly experiential, so you don’t just hear about the subject matter, you feel it.
I hold the human experience with tenderness and respect.
I’ve cried rivers of tears, burned with rage, howled with grief and laughter, and wept with relief and joy.
I’ve lived this work in my bones—and that’s how I teach it.
I believe transformation happens where reverence meets play, where depth meets delight, and where our whole humanity is welcome.
I’ve worked in the healing arts for over 25 years. After earning a BA in psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1998, I headed straight to massage school—and I’ve worked with the body ever since.
In 2003, I found Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy during my Saturn return. It felt like home. Since then, it’s become my great professional love. I became a Certified Teacher with Hakomi Institute in 2015, a Certified Hakomi Trainer in 2021, and I joined the board of directors in 2024.
My path has always been guided by deep listening—both to the body and the unseen. I’ve been fascinated by the sacred, the mystical, and the transformational since I was a little girl. (My pronouns are she/her/hers.)
Over time, I’ve come to trust that I am a deep reservoir of embodied wisdom—and so are you. I believe that no matter who you are or where you come from, we are all vast, trustworthy sources of embodied wisdom. Helping people to experience that in themselves gives me immense joy.
I Believe in:
A messy cry (and the pile of snotty tissues that follows)
03.
The transformative power of beauty, pleasure, and curiosity
02.
01.
The body’s truth and the heart’s wildness
The kind of laugh that takes over your whole body and leaves you softer
04.
The sacred woven into everyday moments
05.
06.
The erotic as life-force—aliveness, creativity, connection
The mystical, not as an escape, but as something deeply lived
07.
A well-timed cuss word, irreverent humor, and not taking ourselves too seriously
